Strong People Problem: Breaking Things Without Trying
If you’ve spent enough time getting stronger, you already know the truth: regular stuff isn’t built with us in mind.
Fair use? You’re just using the thing how it’s meant to be used — and somehow it still cracks.
Reasonable use? You push it a little, but nothing crazy. Next thing you know, plastic bends, screws pop, or springs snap.
Extreme use? Okay, maybe you went full send. But admit it — you expected it to survive at least a little longer.
That’s what happened with my grip strength trainer. I wasn’t doing anything wild, just squeezing through a set… and boom. Broken in half.
For anyone who trains, you know that feeling: one second you’re locked in, the next second you’re holding pieces of equipment that couldn’t hang. It’s funny, frustrating, and low-key a badge of honor.
The Takeaway
Being strong means sometimes your gear won’t last. It’s not about showing off — it’s about realizing that “normal durability” doesn’t always cut it for people who actually put stress on their tools.
Strong people problems: breaking things by accident is just part of the lifestyle.
